Update on our little house.. - Completion date..
09/09 is the magical date~
i love the date.. 0909 symbolise "長長久久"..
Hope we can also be together 長長久久.. =)
Although some incidents had happened and we had to sublet the rooms after renovation...
But nevertheless, i'm still very happy and looking forward to receiving the house keys..
At the end of day, it's still our very first lovely nest, isn't it ? :):):)

Initial design for my house...
After i collated all the initial ideas from my dar dar "interior designer", this is a rough idea of how our little home going to look like..

Oh ya, no cozy corner for me... :(
Our little house is too small to have the little cozy corner with my small coffee table that i mentioned in my previous entry..:(:(:((Anyway, not forgetting to praise my lao da for his brillant ideas) First, i really like the idea of the glass wall between the Master Bedroom and the Living Room.. Very unique, special idea..Second, the pool table @ home... He manage to find a pool table that can be converted to a dining table when not in use..Thumbs up for him...Third, the bar top with high red chair beside the pool table.Ehh and Fourth, the bath tub in the bedroom ?? i'm still trying to accept this idea though..It's really a daring and very unique move..For the infor for you guys who are planning to renovate their house, i got this application from http://www.floorplanner.com/ .... Hmm but one bad thing abt this application is that you cant choose the colour of the wall.. (Or perhaps i have not really figure out how to use it..) Anyone that has any other programs/applications to recommend, please please do tell me ~~~ Thanks in advance~~Okie i need to do my work le~~ Ciaoz..

Our little home is still a good buy... =D
My poor hubby have to cough and cough out 43K for the COV.. Valuation $360K + COV of $43K for a 3-room, 35 years old flat seems crazy but wait, that's the market nowadays..!! Young couples really have to cough out a lot a lot of money and drain their CPF dry in order to buy a little love nest for themselves. :( Initially, i'm still pondering on whether are we paying too much for the house but after some research on the past transacted price on the HDB website, keke we are actually paying something reasonable or even cheaper.. *cheers*

Oh ya, and last night after our late night movie, we drove to our little sweet home to get to know more of our neighbourhood area.. Amazingly, there's a 24hr Econ minimart just across the street.. haha perhaps in future, we can do some late night groceries shopping.... And we can also walk over to the C-nai Hongkong cafe, Mcdonalds at ecp for our usual supper time...Cant wait for our house to come..!! peekz peekz.. ^_^
Btw, there's a new forum, other than my beloved flowerpod, that i enjoyed reading recently.. "Renotalk.com/forum <----- Everything under the sun about home decor, fengshui, contractors etc.. Below is one of the ideas taken from there..
I like the idea of having the small area on the left hand side where i can put some cushions, maybe a small coffee table and maybe...a small fish pond?? Haha and on a sunday morning, i can just laze around drinking a cuppa of tea and reading some magazines... How cosy and relax that can be....woo..

haha just met up with my agent to exercise the purchase.. woowoo~ now is only waiting for the 1st appointment.. Btw, my agent advise me to give HDB a call to ask whether we are eligible for any additional grants.. Haha he told me to sound and say as pathetic as possible.. LOL..*cough cough..* time for some voice rehearsal..ahem....

Finally WE GOT OUR HOME~~
After so many months of searching... and yes, we got our sweet little home~Finally we can stop house viewing sessions during the weekend..!! yeah..We had already paid $1K for the option fee, signed the OTP (option to purchase) and buy over the valuation report at 180 bucks..So.. This time round the hse is definitely ours... So excited and i couldn't help thinking of how to decorate the hse whole day.. Haha kept watching "Home Decor Survivor" from youtube these few days in order to 'copy' some ideas for my little home.. However, ultimately, the main designer of the hse will be my creative cum good taste hubby.. keke =D We will be meeting our agent tmr night to process our HLE (Housing loan eligibility) and to proceed to exercise the option.. Another $4K will fly tmr.. Buying a house in Singapore is really tedious..=( Anyway, a sneak preview of our little home... *Wondering how will it look like after our own decoration.. Hmm...*

very nervous...
I'm very nervous NOW..!!! i'm currently waiting for the seller's reply on whether she agreed to sell us her hse.. They have another buyer viewing the hse at 2pm too.. Will we get the house eventually..?? Or being overbid by others as usual ?? -_-!!!
I'm feeling so nervous now.. putting the phone by my side so that i'll not missed any of the phone calls/msg.. I'm trying very hard now to find something to do in order to distract me from thinking further...

i'm a shopping queen...
i'm spoilt by my dearest hubby... 
Yesterday we went to the airport's private sales (thanks to chris's invitation) and he brought me those loots below....The sales are ranging from 30% to 70% but STILL, US are selling cheaper.. I should have resisted from buying and save the money to buy from US instead..Haizz.. Anyway, i'm still very happy with these buys.. Love the baby pink wallet, hot pink wallet and pink skinny. Apparently, all my coach stuffs are PINK..!!!Haha but he's going to confiscate all my stuffs if i didn't do well for my Financial Reporting Paper this coming Tues.. =( Tmr my tuition teachers, Hua-jie and Kmen, are going to give me intensive tuition tmr.. Really glad that they are helping me out, i owe them a treat.. Hopefully i can digest most of it tmr.. GOD Bless ME..!!

Very upset over my recent house searching experience...
The story goes like this:
Finally came across a house that both my husband and i like... And after the second viewing, we got our agent to call the seller's agent to negotiate on the price and we both agreed on a price.. We told the seller's agent that we need to arrange to come down again the very next day to show the house to my mother-in-law and will also give him a definite answer...On the next day at around 11am, the agent drop us a call and tell us to meet at 2pm.... Both of us were quite excited then, becoz we are certain that we will be buying the house.. At around 1pm plus, our agent suddenly called us and told us that another buyer outbidded us and already got the cheque ready.. Despite that, the seller's agent still tell us to come down because he told us that due to his professionalism, he feel that he should wait for us since we got the priority as we 'so-called' offered him first last night..We were really glad and faster rush down....
Eventually, we reached there, let my mother-in-law to take a look at the house and told the seller's agent that we are buying the flat. But he was telling us that the price we need to pay is 5K higher than the price we agreed last night.. i was like "Huh, didn't we agreed on a price last night?"He told us that he's representing the seller and he shouldn't keep the seller in dark when there's another buyer offering 5K more...OK we understand and compromise... We don't mind paying 5K more as we like the flat.... And that's not the end of story..!!! ARGH..!!!
He continued telling us that it's unfair to the other buyer that is waiting downstairs [OMG.. why did he ask the other buyer to wait downstair.. he should ask them to go first and wait for an answer..] and that we should draw lots... [OMG.. i'm buying a resale flat, not BTO] So i asked him "Why should we draw lots?? i thought you asked us to rush down because you feel that we have the priority and that's why you waited for us ?? And what the reason for doing this now??"
And he used the LAW to reply us saying that as long as no cash/cheque is received from us, the deal is not closed.. Ya i also know that, then why don't he just accept the cheque from the other buyer and got our agent to inform us that the deal is off instead of asking us to come down..!!! After that, our agent told us that the other buyer is very aggressive.. She is willing to pay not only 5K more than us but also 1% commission for the seller's agent...That means the seller agent will get 2% commission from the seller + 1% commission from the buyer... At the end of the day, why do i feel that he trying or waiting for us to offer a better price...Really pissed off by this property agent..
Haizzz... Why is it so hard to buy a house in Singapore nowadays ?? Expensive yet still selling like hotcakes.. Everyone is snatching for a house... Really hope that my next flat viewing will be better... Bless me..

Surprise Xmas gift for my hubby..
[Mont Blanc 'Signature for good' special edition....]Btw, i din brought it from the Mont Blanc shop itself.. i was reading flowerpod forum and they are recommending an authorized dealer at People Park Complex who are selling Mont Blanc stuff at 10-20% lower than its retail price... Lao da and i went to K-suites last night to try out the 'new-style' KTV...The charges there are quite ex.. We paid around $75 for a 2hrs singing session.Hmm but the service, seats, system there are definitely better than KBOX.. (or maybeit's because the stuffs are newer there?? haha)2 hours of room charge = $40Drinks(1 honey, 1 earl grey) = $19KOD charge = $5Plus service charges, GST etc etc..
When we entered the room, they provide us a hot towel to wipe our hand...There's is also disposable slippers for the guest to change to...
2 TV SCREENS... !! When we are sitting down, we'll look at the lower screen...When we are laying down, we can look at the upper screen... =D
Super sensitive Touch-screen dian ge...They have a function where you can record your singing and sent the recording to your phonethrough bluetooth...=DAnd and.. They also have games to play for those that are tired of singing...
THAT'S NOT ALL...!!! They even have a PC and internet access for their guests to surf net...
They provide blankets but i dun really dare to use =P

NEW DRIVING TEST RULE..- No more poles..
From March next year, trainee drivers will not have poles to assist them during their driving test. #news #singapore. "THE four poles which have become synonymous with learning how to park cars will soon be gone.From March next year, trainee drivers will not have these poles to assist them during their driving test. Learners who are taking the Traffic Police driving test before March 1 next year, will continue using the poles for parking.A spokesman from ComfortDelgro Driving Centre said that under the new rule learner drivers can still adjust side mirrors, wind down the driver's window, or open the driver's door to check on their parking.
Private driving instructor Peck Chin Huat said parking without poles is more practical for students, as real parking lots do not have poles. 'Initially it will be harder, as there is no target for them to look at, so they will have to depend on their sense of judgement,' he said in Mandarin."

My hubby brought me a chocolate mask from Japan~ ^_^
When you tear open it, you can smell the chocolate smell.. Yummy~
Eh but i'm not very used to the colour of the mask.. Looks a bit scary in brown mask..
However, the mask is really good~ very hydrating~
